Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:
===========================
Breakfast
You wouldn't be caught dead, where?
Oh. This is easy. I wouldn't be caught dead bungee jumping. My fear of heights is an understatement. Climbing to the top of a 3 foot ladder is an impossible feat for me. But, I get it honest. My Mom is the same way as well as all 3 of my kids. :shrugging: I learn to deal with it.
Lunch
Was there ever a time you were frightened for your life?
Oh, yes indeed! Very vivid memories come back to me of a frightening experience when I was a young girl. We were battered by horrendous winds from one of our many hurricanes. My Dad decided we needed to find safer shelter. So we all piled into the family stationwagon and headed to the nearby school gym. In order to get there we had to pass over a very deep canal. The waters were turbulent and had risen above the rails of the bridge. I sat in the backseat crying softly as he drove us blindly across the bridge. I just knew we were going to be washed away!! We made it safely. Thank God! I remember seeing the grief striken faces of those who came looking for shelter throughout the night. These people had lost everything they owned. It was a night to remember. I learned to appreciate so much that night that I had always taken for granted. A lesson well learned.
Dinner
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about many things but at the top of the list is...MY FAMILY! Other passions of mine include books, redecorating, the color RED, PSP [a graphics program], chocolate, white zinfandel, cookouts and did I meantion my family?
Midnight Snack
Have you ever won a trophy?
Yes. I've won way too many bowling trophies. I was a very good bowler in my prime of life. One particular year I won 1st place in a State Tournament. Bowling was a very important part of my life. I bowled in weekly leagues and entered city, state and national tournaments. Unfortunately, I had to give it up. My knee was never the same after knee surgery. Now I bowl with my Wii. :hehe:
Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
Patience. I am undergoing a few changes in my life and patience will help me get through these changes. I need to slow down and smell the flowers along the way.
